DY Patil Stadium to host the second warm-up game of England

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has accepted the proposal made by the Mumbai Cricket Association to shift the venue of the second warm-up game of the England cricket team to D Y Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai.

The MCA president Ravi Savant confirmed that BCCI president N Srinivasan has given a go ahead to shift the warm-up game venue from Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) ground to D Y Patil Stadium in Nerul.

A number of security issues raised by the Mumbai police pertaining to the BKC ground made the officials rethink their decision. Now, the England cricket team would be playing the game from November 3 – 5 at the D Y Patil ground. The shift in venue will increase the access to people living in suburbs and in and around Navi Mumbai, to catch up the England team live in action.
