Harbour Line (Navi Mumbai Local Trains Time-Table)

People staying in this part of the township are familiar with the Harbour Line. It is a branch of the Mumbai Suburban Railway and is operated by the Central Railways. Most of Navi Mumbai is covered by this line. In all, the Harbor Line consists of five routes:

  • CST - Panvel
  • Andheri – Panvel
  • Thane - Vashi
  • Thane – Nerul
  • CST – Andheri

Trains running on the harbor line are slow. They connect to most parts of Mumbai. At Wadala (in a Panvel-CST bound local), the line branches into western line up to Andheri. The harbor and central line share a common station at – Kurla. You can jump to the Central Line and take trains to Kalyan, Ambernath, Karjat etc. Further, at Vashi, the Harbour line bifurcates into two lines — one towards Thane, while the other runs to Panvel.

The one running towards Thane is the Trans-Harbour Line that connects Navi Mumbai to Thane. It runs to and fro from Thane to Vashi/Nerul. Services run to and fro from Thane-Vashi, Thane-Panvel, Thane-Nerul. A total of about 580 services runs daily on the Harbour Line inclusive of approx. 208 services on the Trans-Harbour Line and 172 on the CST-Andheri route. The Harbor Line services are expected to be fully converted into 12-car by March 2015.
