After finishing his Master in Surgery (MS) in ophthalmology, he has done his long term fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus from the reputed Aravind Eye hospital, Madurai. He is among the handful of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus specialists in the country. He has been trained under one of the masters in the subject, Dr. Burton Kushner from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA.
