Shivam Eye Foundation was started in September 1996 with the aim of providing quality eye care to one and all It will soon be shifting to its new premises at Sector 25 Nerul , near Sea Woods Station with a total area of around 6000 square feet which will be the biggest Eye Hospital in Navi Mumbai Dr Sushama Ramchandani and Dr Suresh Ramchandani are the consultants in this hospital and have over 14 yrs. of experience in treating complicated disorders of the eye
Dr Sushama Ramchandani , a University Topper and Gold medalist in her post graduate exams has had fellowship training in Squint and paediatric Ophthalmology at the World famous Sankara Nethralaya , Chennai . She is also trained in suture less( Stichless) Cataract surgery( Phacoemulsification). She was a Consultant at Sankara Nethralaya and then at Ganapati Netralaya, Jalna
Dr Suresh Ramchandani , also a university topper and Silver medalist in his post graduate exams has had fellowship training in Vitreo retinal Surgery at Sankara Nethralaya , Chennai . He also has had special training in Uveitis and Glaucoma. He was a consultant at Sankara Nethralaya – Chennai and then at Ganapati Netralaya – Jalna.
Between the two of them they have over 50 presentations in various state ,national and international conferences and several publications in peer and non peer reviewed Journals
The institute ensures high quality total eye care for all the patients and has several equipments which were introduced in Navi Mumbai for the 1st time.
